






I matte-painted the sky and extensive vista for this map. This involved starting with a base HDRI sky and then photo-bashing and painting in the vista to blend seamlessly with playspace. It was a nightmare getting the main cityscape matte painting to blend in with the 3D vista. I had to do this weird inverse perspective thing to get the city streets in the 2D painting to align with the 3D models’ streets regardless of the player’s vantage point.
